The Second Lie Is That You Need To Spend Thousands Of Dollars To Get Good Education.

I swear, If I see one more influencer bragging about the amount of money they spent on education...

But that's not because I don't believe in education. I LOVE education! And although I've spent thousands of dollars on my own education, I've also wasted thousands of dollars on education.

Just like the worst advice is bad advice, the worst education is bad education. And some of the worst has cost me more than I care to share. (Okay, about $55,000.)

On the flip side, some of the best education I've ever received has been under $500.

The moral of the story is that just because it's expensive, doesn't mean it's quality.

The Third Lie Is That You Need Years Of Experience Before You’re Allowed To Charge A High Price.

For a minute, imagine you're a new stylists at a salon filled with seasoned hairdressers who have been there for years.

To everyone around you, you're just a baby in the business. Not necessarily by age but by experience.

But you're not like them. Every day you bust your butt to learn and grow and build a successful business.

You practice on your downtime, learn from videos in the breakroom, and seek mentors to coach you.

That's when you realize you are better skilled than those around you.

But you're afraid to raise your prices (or ask for a pay bump) for fear someone will call you out on lack of experience.

Your prices should reflect your level of talent and the experience you provide your clients.

If others around you can’t handle it, that’s their problem.
